Congratulations on its recent first anniversary to our nearly 100-member Columbus Dads Group, one of the first to join City Dads Group even before we officially became a national organization.
Organizer Ryan Gross started the group shortly after his family relocated to the Ohio city from New York, where he was a member of our flagship NYC Dads Group. “I knew the benefits of having a group of dads to hang out with,” he said recently. “The NYC Dads Group was pivotal for me during the brief two years that my family and I spent in the city. I am hoping to continue to develop the Columbus Dads Group to provide that same experience to dads in central Ohio.”

Ryan said the Columbus Dads Group has grown pretty rapidly. While it has a core group of at-home dads who like to hit up the Columbus Zoo and parks around the city, many of the members are full-time working fathers. “It’s no surprise that our ‘Dad’s Nights Out’ are some of our most popular meetups,” he said. “We have started a local brewery tour of Columbus which has been a lot of fun and taken us to places we didn’t even know existed!”
