Five City Dads Group chapters gathered fathers and children for some messy good times in recent weeks. thanks to our sponsor, WaterWipes, the world’s purest baby wipes, helping them to keep things clean and fresh.
Art projects, pizza and — of course — dirty diapers were no problem for WaterWipes, the soft and gentle moist towelette made from 99.9 percent water and a drop of fruit extract. Our dads and their little ones were quite thankful for this great sponsor giving them fond memories as well as skincare peace of mind.
San Fran fun for all
Mere steps from the legendary Ghirardelli Chocolate Factory, beneath the room-sized replica of the Golden Gate Gate Bridge, 14 members of our San Francisco Dads Group and their children met up at Peekadoodle Kidsclub for a morning of fun, food and free play.
“I was surrounded by other dads who were in similar situations and I was able to have adult conversations with fellow male caregivers without feeling like the odd man out,” said stay-at-home father Will V., who had his first-ever experience with our group at the event. “The group also facilitated a budding friendship with a neighbor and his son who is around the same age as mine and we have recently had two playdates together. Bonus to the event was it being sponsored by WaterWipes, I got to try a great new product and have since switched to their brand.”

Slices and dances in NYC
Music and the promise of pizza brought our NYC Dads Group out in full-force at The Playroom NYC.
The day started off with a movement class where dads and their kids sang and rocked out to beloved children’s songs like “No More Monkeys,” “You Are My Sunshine,” and, of course, “Eye of the Tiger.” After a cool down, the staff broke out some sweet New York slices … and the parents broke out their WaterWipes.
“My wife and I have been using WaterWipes for a long time, actually, since way before this event,” said Ben, a member of NYC Dads Group. “She’d been looking for a product without any chemical irritants and they were the best thing she found. They have a soft, natural touch.”
WaterWipes are so gentle on the skin that The National Eczema Association has awarded it its Seal of Acceptance.
Fishin’ and wipin’ in Dallas
Nearly 50 Dallas Dads Group fathers and their children Plano’s Play Street Museum for a morning of breakfast and fun enjoying its “great outdoors” theme, complete with several kid-sized cabins, a general store, a fishing boat, and an RV camper. The dads even got a little creative, coming up with a list of things they could use WaterWipes for beyond diaper and kid cleanup. Here’s some:
- Little freshening up for my pits. It’s Texas, OK?
- Multitask like a boss: clean the inside of your car while the tot finishes a car nap
- Facial hair cleanup after a good dinner of baby back ribs
- Need to cool down on a hot day? Keep a pack in the cooler
- Take household chores to the next level and let the kids wipe down the floor with them.
- Cleaning bird poop off the swing at the park
Art crawl in L.A.
Our Los Angeles Dads Group used their WaterWipes sponsorship as an opportunity to get super dirty at the interactive Zimmer Children’s Museum “Art Crawl” without worries.
In a room covered with butcher paper, kids and dads went to town with paints to create a myriad of creative pieces. Snacks for both kids and adults completed the day.
Coffee and good times in Chicago
The Chicago Dads Group took their families to a fun breakfast and morning of play at The Little Beans Cafe. Imaginative play, sports and gymnastic-style play were on tap for all.
“It is great to be in community with fellow fathers and their families. It serves as a reminder that we have the same desires for more sleep, fumbling through the best way to manage tantrums, etc.,” said Chicago dad Rich Espinal. “It was also great to have WaterWipes on hand to wipe down faces buttered with breakfast and make diaper changes a breeze.”
Disclosure: We proudly partnered with WaterWipes for these events and this post.
