It seems like I am surrounded by a new phenomenon – “couponing”…or should I say that our society is revisiting a thing of the past. Everyone (including me) is out looking for a deal to save $$$ on new electronics, grocery items, or travel. Why not baby products?
Recently, I was in the market to buy some new toy storage furniture to maintain the overflow & clutter of our small apartment. I knew what product I wanted to buy from The Company Store. Next, I did a google search on “Company Store Coupons.” A host of options came up from my query, and I selected a code to save 15% on my entire order – thank you internet for saving this dad $30!
Another example of a good money saving opportunity – Bed, Bath, & Beyond sends out lots of 20% coupons so this is a great store to shop if you want to save money. Additionally, Bed, Bath, & Beyond owns my favorite baby shop, BUY BUY BABY, so feel free to use your 20% Bed Bath coupons at Buy Buy Baby- they are accepted!
For us NYC dads, it is tough to get out of the city to shop at the big box warehouse retail shops like Costco. However, in NYC and online at diapers.com, I pay about $24.00 for a 23.2 oz container of Similac Formula. At Price Club, I can purchase the 34 oz container (almost 50% more) for only $28.00…so you are paying $1.00 per ounce in the city vs. $82 per ounce at Costco. That translates to a significant cost savings during your kids’ first year!
I see more and more parent blogs & websites dedicated to coupon offers and baby product deals so you will not have to search too far for what you are looking for. Try it. If you have been successful at buying some baby products, share your experience…
