New York International Children’s Film Festival this month enters its third decade of bringing families great movies from around the world and NYC Dads Group can hook you up with discount tickets to the festivities.
New York International Children’s Film Festival, or NYICFF for short, is one of the largest and most influential family movie events in North America. The annual festival offers thoughtful, intelligent programming for children ages 3 to 18.
This year’s festival runs four weekends from Feb. 21 to March 15, in select venues throughout Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. It features premieres of animated and live action films — long and short form –from around the world, parties, Q&As with visiting filmmakers, audience voting for the best films and other onsite special events that you and your kids are sure to enjoy and remember.
Go to festival’s website for a full list of NYICFF 2020 films. One popular ticket is sure to be the latest installment in the popular “Shaun the Sheep” animated series, Celebrate Aardman! A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, which is making its East Coast debut at the festival.
This year’s entries will also include a spotlight on films from Canada, those featuring empowered girls and a “Boys Beyond Boundaries” double feature.
The festival, a qualifying event for movies to be selected for Oscar nominations, is attended by more than 25,000 young people, parents and movie-lovers annually.
