The Sunshine State has finally become part of the City Dads Group network with the opening of a chapter in Miami, Florida.
The Miami Dads Group is the 22nd U.S. metropolitan area added to our roster of social and support groups for fathers of all walks of life.
Jonathan Macy will lead our new Miami Dads Group with the task of bringing together fathers from many diverse backgrounds throughout South Florida. “My wife and I have many friends in varying life stages who we enjoy spending time with. In starting the Miami Dads Group, I was looking to make some new friends but also find some guys who understand what it means to work hard and make time for your family,” he said.
Macy, 37, is the creator of The Daddy’s Life website, which is dedicated to raising a child and having a family from the father’s perspective.
Macy and his wife, Candice, are proudly raising their son (1.5 years old) and family dog as well. “I spend many hours a day working as an attorney, but make sure to set aside time to spend with my family. I am home every night to play with him and get him ready for bed. My day starts very early, but that smile makes it all worth it.”
City Dads Group is a dynamic and diverse community of fathers redefining, by example, what it means to be a dad in the 21st century. Our national support network has more than 5,000 members based in and around major metropolitan U.S. cities including New York, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Founded in November 2008 in New York City as a way a handful of fathers could arrange playdates and outings with their children, the organization went national in 2014.
