Last summer, Lance and I got to talking seriously about starting a few dads groups outside of New York City. One of our members, Johnny Chung, had moved to Los Angeles and was eager to get a group going there. Separately, a toy company we were working with in NYC asked us for the names of dads group organizers in Chicago and Los Angeles. Rather than give him names, we told him we would organize the Meetups in all three cities. And thus, LA Dads Group and Chicago Dads Group were born one year ago today. Kind of.
