In this first Modern Dads Podcast of the new season, we talk about the joys of play — for you and your kids — and when parents need to step back to let children have fun on their own. On hand is Meredith Sinclair, an author and creative play advocate, to give us her wisdom and discusses her new book, Well Played: The Ultimate Guide to Awakening Your Family’s Playful Spirit.
Well Played has received generally positive reviews.
“The bulk of the book is spent reminding grown-ups that we don’t have to be so serious. We can be moral authorities/voices of wisdom while also honestly enjoying time spent playing with our kids. There’s ideas on crafting at home, road-trip games, family music fun and more, much of it blessedly good old unplugged fun,” wrote a review for Mom Trends.
“With an easy helpful tone, and a helping of wit and humor to go with her solid expertise, Meredith has provided a totally guilt-free, truly encouraging, and wildly comprehensive guide to bringing more play into your life,” wrote our friends over at Cool Mom Picks.
