We need to highlight one of the most meaningful experiences an at-home dad can have – attending the annual at-home dads convention! We speak from experience because Matt & I have attended the past three years & need to mention – the workshops are meaningful and educational, it’s a wonderful opportunity to connect & share best practices with dads from across the country, and you leave recharged about being the best dad you can be. On the fence about attending? Here’s our review from a past convention!
Registration is now open for the 17th Annual At-Home Dads Convention. The annual event is organized by our friends at The National At-Home Dad Network (formally Daddyshome, Inc.), and will be held in the Washington, D.C. area on Saturday, Oct. 6. D.C. is an easy trip from the New York Metro area, so fellas, start planning your road trip now!
From the National At-Home Dad Network press release:
The Oct. 6 Convention will again be full of open forums and educational discussions for dads.
Dr. Rene Hackney, a parenting and child development specialist and the founder and creator of
Parenting Playgroups and one of the most popular speakers from the 16th Annual At-Home Dads
Convention, returns as a featured speaker. There will also be children’s age-based discussion forums,
topics on how to start a dads group and a session on dads with daughters, among many other subjects.
Registration is $75 (lunch included), but dads who sign up before Aug. 24 get $15 off.
