Some interesting things on the dad media front that might be worth checking out:
- On the radio front is Band of SAHD (Stay-at-Home-Dads) – a brand new blogtalk radio program every Sunday night at 11PM EST. Four at-home dads from around the country “share their adventures and discuss topical issues each week.” You can call in or live chat with them during the show. OR, if you are like me, and miss each show because you are either sleeping or spending time with the wife/partner at 11pm, you can listen to the podcast any time you wish. thanks to Dana at Evolution of Dad for highlighting this show for me.
- On the magazine front is the new The Good Men Project Magazine – The online magazine is billed as “a cross-platform, multi-media destination featuring compelling writing about parenting, sex, relationships, identity, ethics, humor, and health. The publication’s contributors include top-tier journalists commissioned to provide feature content as well as volunteer writers and bloggers. This men’s magazine are from the same group that launched The Good Men Project that we discussed on this blog in the past.
- It’s nice to have another men’s magazine to complement The Father Life: the Men’s Magazine For Dads.
- On the T.V. front for expectant fathers is Dad Camp – a new series on VH-1 where a licensed therapist attempts to CURE six irresponsible expectant fathers. I am not wasting my time with this one as it already sounds horrible!
These new resources may not prove to be your favorites, but it certainly is nice to see more popping up for fathers.
