We did this the past few years and it was an awesome excursion.
Let’s take a tram ride to Roosevelt Island for a playground adventure with our kids.
*We will meet at the Roosevelt Island Tram at 59th Street & 2nd Avenue (cost is only $2.75 or use your metrocard) at 9:45am. If you miss that tram, there is another one every 5 – 10 minutes. The brief Tram ride provides awesome views and the kids as well as us are sure to love it!
*We will return to the spot from last time – large playground with two sides – brand new tot-lot for the 1- 3 year olds and one side for the older kids. If you come late, we will figure out a way to find us (use comments section of meetup) – the island is small.
*The new FDR Park is on the South end of the island is open with spectacular views and a sloped field to run around, fly a kite, play ball or frisbee with our kids. It might be worth it to take a walk over there.
