Two of us New York City stay-at-home dads wanted to take advantage of the abundant sunshine and 60 degree temps today. Where to go when you have no plan? The Central Park Zoo, of course! After a long and isolating winter, Central Park and fresh air were a great remedy today. We had full reign of the place today with no lines and no crowds, as most people were at work. My Gym Lincoln Center Hosts At-Home Dads, Kids Adventure
Today was an adventure! Our stay-at-home dads play group descended on My Gym Lincoln Center this week located on 66th street on the Upper West side. My son swung on a zipline like Tarzan, hung like an Olympic gymnast from their suspended rings, attempted his first headstand, and had a blast "hanging around" with his buddies! This play space is top notch if you/your child are a risk taker. A Fish out of Water
Today, I took Jake to our weekly class at Gymboree on the UES. Jake loves his weekly class! For those of you not familiar with Gymboree - the class starts with circle time singing songs like itsy bitsy spider and the Hokey Pokey. Then, they have a theme of the week activity. The theme this week is socialization- so all the kids hopped on the big banana tube and did motion rolls (see picture), then off to practice standing and crawling together. Very comical!
