Our NYC Dads Group, chock full of stay at home dads, part time home dads, and some freelance dads, ventured down to a parent oasis in Soho yesterday called Citibabes. As we entered, their stroller valet freed us of our strollers and pointed the way towards their 1,500 square foot playspace. What To Do On A Cloudy Wednesday in NYC?
If you are a stay at home dad/parent, your answer on what to do in NYC on a cloudy Wednesday is go to the Crybaby Matinee. These Upper East Side matinees serve parents in search of the latest blockbuster or just a way to kill 2 hours with your kid. Movies start at 11:00am every Wednesday. You would think the theater would post a schedule of the movies playing, but they don't - I had to ask the salesperson at the window. Tribeca Film Festival: Cool Event Even for Uncool NYC Dads
One of the coolest events that NYC has to offer every year is the Tribeca Film Festival. Think about this opportunity - for $15, you get a ticket to see a movie not yet released to the general public, you get to hear some opening words from the director, and at the end of the movie - you get to meet some of the actors/actresses and participate in a Q&A session.
