Tomorrow, Matt & I hop a plane to Omaha, Nebraska for the annual National at-home dads convention. Last year was an amazing experience for me and I am confident that this year will be even better. The boys at the Lincoln/Omaha Dads Group & the team at Daddyshome.org have worked hard to plan this weekend’s festivities…from community service to steak dinners to happy hours at the sports bar to quality & meaningful content workshops.
Matt & I will be leading a panel discussion on achieving a successful dads group. Sure, we hope to share some of our successes with other dads in groups across the nation. More importantly, we hope to learn from dads in other groups, and gather some unique & useful information to make the NYC Dads Group even better!
We realize that even though many East Coast dads aren’t attending, it doesn’t mean that you are not interested in what happens at the convention. It is our goal to disseminate as much information to you as possible from the convention. This will be in the form of blog entries next week, sharing documents that are distributed, linking to other dads blogging from/about the event like Brian Reid of the Rebel Dad blog and keeping you plugged in REAL-TIME via Twitter during the event (another great reason to start following the group on Twitter @NYCDadsGroup).
