We, the LA Dads Group, brought a member of our group for his first time to Dad 2.0 Summit, a dad blogger event. We asked him if he would write about his perspective about his trip. He agreed and I am very excited to introduce, Juan Pablo Delgado. We had the pleasure of meeting Juan Pablo over a year or two ago, his beautiful family and his company, My Custom Insoles (which if I wasn’t wearing these over the weekend, I would have had some serious sore feet!). It is awesome to have him be part of our LA Dads Group. Let’s check out what he has to say!
My first DAD 2.0 Summit Experience
Being a father of three kids, entrepreneur and husband in a new country (since I came from Mexico just 2 years ago,) has been a very challenging endeavor. I have just been hooked by the blogger world! But this has been quite a nice experience, since I am an active member of LA Dads Group, which is part of City Dads Group. The friendships and activities around my kids has been a blessing. I am so happy to have attended Dad 2.0 Summit in San Diego last weekend. Here are some experiences that I would like to share with you:
The Ride.
Kia Motors sponsored a Cadenza to go from Los Angeles to Dad 2.0 Summit and it was super cool. We were a total of 5 passengers but comfortable enough to be dancing around.

The Welcome
When we got to the Hyatt hotel, we had the opportunity to join a drone experience by Best Buy. It was awesome. To be able to fly a drone while filming was a highlight of the trip.
The Highlights
One of the best highlights was seeing Trevor Mulligan from LA Dads group moderating the talk with director Marc Webb of the Gifted Movie, which debuts in theaters April 7. I am so eager to see it soon, given the fact that I am a father of a gifted kid.
Dove Men+Care keynote conversation with Charles Tillman was fantastic. This guy’s attitude toward challenges in life was so inspiring. The key: Mental thought!
The Workshops
My favorite conferences were: Pitch like a Pro, the discussion on how to refine your focus; Business Training, Influencer Marketing and I am not a rock. Definitely useful and paramount to redefine my purpose on social media and life.
The friendship
All the people who participated in the Summit were so nice and so involved in parenthood. The whole mentality of being better, of friendship, and helpfulness was overwhelming. The story of Charlie King’s son on how he set a goal to go to Mexico City to watch the Formula 1 race, was truly inspiring.
The Sponsors
