Coming this summer... Oh wait it’s here!
Looking for a great family friendly movie to see this weekend? This is a movie everyone in the family will be laughing!
My boys have all kinds of shows they watch most of which I do not watch with them. Except for Teen Titans Go – a follow-up to the popular “Teen Titans” series takes a more comedic look at the superheroes, showing what life is like for the teens when their capes come off. Funny things happen to Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg between saving the world and being regular teens, living together without adult supervision. That being said the below may come with some bias.
The boys and I were invited to go to WB Studios to get a sneak preview of the new movie Teen Titans Go: to the movies. A villain’s maniacal plan for world domination sidetracks five teenage superheroes who dream of Hollywood stardom. The theater was full and the synergy was incredible, as we got into our Teen Titan mode.
“Waffle waffle waffle” “Waffle waffle waffle!”
We know we are “cray cray”(Beast Boy’s way of saying crazy). First of all, it’s not a movie that you need to have seen the series before watching so don’t worry about being lost. Actually after seeing this movie you’ll probably want to go back and watch the series just to continue the enjoyment.
The layers of humor included definitely made it great. I think I laughed more than my boys did; but that’s not to say they weren’t laughing. It just speaks to the fact that the humor was both child and adult appropriate. If you grew up in the ’80, you will love the references from VCR to TV shows we loved, you will enjoy it more than you think.
Cyborg, Raven and Beast Boy
Watching the movie was awesome, add in the studio voice over I got to do (you can see here) along with the food, activities and the boys getting to meet their favorite characters, it was a truly memorable event. Miles is all about Raven while Mason is a fan of Beast Boy. All 5 characters are pretty balanced, it’s hard to choose just one. The movie comes to theaters this weekend, July 27th. Teen Titans Go!

See you there.
DISCLOSURE: The review above is our opinion, although we were not compensated monetarily, we did have an amazing time at the kick off party on the WB set!
