You have the chance to introduce, or reacquaint, your child to the special experience that is live theater on the greatest stage of all — New York’s Broadway — for no charge.
Boys and girls ages 18 and under can attend a Feb. 28, 2017, performance on New York City’s Great White Way for free when accompanied by when accompanied by a full-paying adult as part of The Broadway League’s annual Kids’ Night on Broadway.
The limited number of tickets will go on sale starting 10:30 a.m., Tuesday Dec. 6, at the Kids’ Night on Broadway website. The participating shows are:

- Beautiful: the Carole King Musical
- A Bronx Tale
- Cats
- Chicago
- Come From Away
- Dear Evan Hansen
- In Transit
- August Wilson’s Jitney
- Kinky Boots
- The Lion King
- Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812
- On Your Feet!
- The Phantom of the Opera
- School of Rock the Musical
- Significant Other
- Waitress
- Wicked
The League has also partnered with several restaurants in the Times Square area to offer free or discounted meals for kids on the night of the show. Visit the Kids’ Night on Broadway website for a list of participating eateries and theaters.
“Kids’ Night on Broadway is growing up — this year we have a range of participating shows that will appeal to kids, teens, and their parents!,” said Charlotte St. Martin, president of the Broadway League, in a news release. “Other league programs including the National High School Musical Theatre Awards and our new website BwayZone.com reiterate our dedication to educating all ages about how live theatre can engage and inspire.”
