We have all been there–that moment when you realize you are about to become a parent (by adoption or birth) and have no idea what you are doing! Well, have no fear dads, the biggest baby show in the country is coming to Los Angeles the weekend of November 5th and 6th.
It is a family-friendly, expo-size jamboree of top brands, great speakers and seminars, big giveaways, and lots of learning, support, bonding, and fun as you make your way into parenthood at the awesome Magic Box at the REEF in Downtown LA (near LA Live).
This is going to the most dad-friendly Baby Expo you could imagine–not only will LA Dads Group organizers Trevor Mulligan, Joël LëoJ, and I be hanging out (and tweeting, instagramming, and snapping) in the official “Dads Lounge.” The Dads Lounge will be a welcome oasis for new and expectant dads (and moms too) equipped with baby changing stations, rocking chairs, comfortable seating and members of LA Dads Group to answer questions.
There will also be guests joining us like awesome dads Bill Horn and Scout Masterson, who first got attention as “Guncles” to Tori Spelling on her Oxygen TV show. The Guncles are now parents themselves and will be spending time at the Dads Lounge at noon on Sunday, November 6th to talk about their experience as dads. Also, legendary baby expert and trusted pediatrician Dr. Harvery Karp, who wrote one of our fav books “The Happiest Baby on the Block” and “The Happiest Toddler on the Block,” will be speaking on Saturday, November 5th.
And we saved the best for last. LA Dads Group organizers Trevor Mulligan and I will join a workshop with Greg Bishop, founder of Boot Camp For New Dads, an awesome organization that connects veteran dads (like us) with rookie dads-to-be to help orient them on being a new parent. Join us from 3:30-4pm on either Saturday or Sunday when we talk candidly about how to avoid joining the 2/3rds of new parents whose relationships head south when the baby arrives. Plus, it addresses everyday duties like changing diapers, feeding, and bonding with your new baby.
The Los Angeles Dads Group “Dads Lounge” is graciously being hosted by the owners and organizers of the LA Baby Show.
