Dallas Dads Group members are needed Nov. 21 to help sort food donated by Plum Organics®, the nation's leading organic baby food brand, that will help feed local families in need this holiday season. Dallas Dads Group celebrated Fathers Eve 2016 at the National Videogame Museum. From the moment you enter you are thrust into the community of gaming. Located in the Frisco Discovery Center, it is easy to reach just off the Dallas North Tollway. The museum foyer boasts artwork with screens streaming pop culture and gaming footage to try and prepare you for the nostalgia overload that awaits. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Recently my family traveled to eastern Virginia and Washington D.C. for vacation. After several hours and multiple methods of travel, I wanted to weigh the pros and cons of each. Our first leg was an early morning flight from DFW to Reagan International. We normally prefer to take an Uber or hire a car rather than park at the airport. We prefer to bring our own carseat however most limo companies will offer their own seat. Don't forget that the DART Orange line ends at DFW's terminal A but with a toddler, it can become pretty cumbersome. The world is much different now than the “Leave it to Beaver” days. More fathers are choosing to stay home and be active participants in their children’s lives. With the shift in who is staying home with the children, society that I have experienced, for the most part has been accepting of the change. However there are always those who just don’t understand. Downtown Dallas features a true gem for families to visit. Klyde Warren Park has quickly become the place to meet up for all ages. It features 4 large lawn spaces, walking trails, a performance pavilion, children's park, restaurants, food trucks, dog area, and classic games you can borrow. Dallas Dads Group holds a MeetUp on the second Wednesday of each month in the Children's Park. Dallas Zoo Review

Located 10 minutes south of downtown, the Dallas Zoo has over 2,000 species throughout 100 acres. Founded in 1888, the zoo has a classic feel with modern exhibits for the entire family. Major exhibits include the Wilds of Africa, Giants of the Savanna, and a Children's Zoo. Dallas Dads Group's MeetUp at the Zoo occurs on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Upon entering the zoo, you're greeted by a charming carousel and the gift shop for stroller rental. Hanging a left, you head through a tunnel and into the Wilds of Africa area.
