Homeless children will receive a hand from NYC Dads Group Wednesday, June 15, as we help with a carnival that raises money to provide summer camp and afterschool services for those children in need.
NYC Dads Group will serve as a social media partner for Carnival Night for Kids, an annual event run by The Coalition for the Homeless. The evening of rides, games, prizes, delicious food and more starts at 5:30 p.m. June 15 in Central Park’s Victorian Gardens.
All event proceeds benefit Camp Homeward Bound, the nation’s first summer sleep-away camp designed specifically for homeless children, and the Bound for Success after-school program and summer day camp.
“NYC Dads Group is excited about working with The Coalition for the Homeless and promoting Carnival Night for Kids. We want to do all we can to aid this very important cause,” said Christopher Persley, co-organizer of NYC Dads Group.
The Coalition for the Homeless is the nation’s oldest advocacy and direct service organization helping homeless men, women and children. For more than three decades, it has developed and implemented humane, cost-effective strategies to end mass homelessness in New York City.
