If you are thinking about attending the annual Dad 2.0 Summit conference, then consider applying for or donating to the event’s scholarship fund now.
Oren Miller Scholarships are a $500 stipend to offset travel and lodging costs for the conference scheduled for Feb. 21-23, 2019, in San Antonio, Texas. Winning one means you also receive a free ticket to the event, valued at $249.
The fund’s money comes mostly from the generous donations of attendees and sponsors. City Dads Group has been major supporter of Dad 2.0 over the years, including a $2,500 donation toward scholarships last year. The conference draws members from our chapters all over the United States to be attendees and presenters.
Dad 2.0 Summit bills itself as “an open conversation about the commercial power of dads online, and an opportunity to learn the tools and tactics used by influential bloggers to create high-quality content, build personal brands, and develop business ideas.” However, the conference — now entering its eighth year — is as much about the navigating fatherhood, now and in the future, and serves as a parenting inspiration for many attendees, such as 2017 scholarship recipient and Indianapolis Dads Group co-organizer Creed Anthony.
Major brands such as Dove Men+Care, Best Buy and Lego have been sponsors and attendees at Dad 2.0. in recent years. Speakers have featured sports and media stars such as football Hall of Famers Michael Strahan and Ronnie Lott, best-selling author Brad Meltzer and TV producer Jason Katims.
