Movember Foundation Exec Not Fuzzy on Improving Men’s Health

November 29, 2016 by Matt Schneider Leave a Comment

movember foundation podcast 2016

The Movember Foundation has funded more than 1,200 men’s health projects around the world with the help of more than 5 million “Mo Bros” growing mustaches and “Mo Sistas” supporting them in raising money and awareness every November since 2003.

In our latest Modern Dads Podcast, we talk with Movember Foundation Director of Development J.J. Owens about why this annual campaign is so important. Our conversation delves into how Movember donations are used, and the research and development being done that is saving lives in the areas of prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention.

City Dads Group is one of those Movember Foundation supporters. It has again joined forces this month with the Life of Dad social network, the Dad 2.0 Summit, and the National At-Home Dad Network to grow mustaches and raise money and awareness for this important cause. Last year, our work contributed to the more than $16 million the Movember movement raised in the United States in 2015.

If you are so moved, we’d love for you to support our #MovemberDads team with a donation.

Also in this podcast, L.A. Dads Group member and City Dads Group columnist Whit Honea joins to talk about his own health scare and his newfound perspective.
