City Dads Group is pleased to announce it will be part of Huggies Parents Council meeting, scheduled for next week in Chicago. City Dads Group has maintained a good working relationship with the diaper and baby-product maker for several years after we joined a chorus of dad bloggers urging Huggies to reconsider their portrayal of dads in a TV and print campaign. The company eventually changed the campaign based on feedback from our members and other parents across the country, and we have been celebrating them ever since.
Never a brand to shy away from controversy, the Huggies team now wants to connect directly with parents after recent concerns about glass in packages of baby wipes. Huggies had the wipes independently tested and released a statement confirming they do not use glass in their wipes. I will represent City Dads Group at the Huggies Parents Council next week to hear from the brand team directly about the issue.
