Psychotherapist Michael Weiner, the author of You and Your Child’s Therapy, takes us inside his psychotherapy practice to help you understand the process and your contribution to a successful treatment in our latest Modern Dads Podcast. Weiner also discusses his “whole child” approach that focuses on strengths, not just symptoms. Weiner is an Early Childhood Education Consultant in New York City, where he also maintains a private practice focusing on child and adolescent therapy. He specializes in the treatment of trauma, bereavement and loss, and children at risk. Weiner is also an Adjunct Professor in Human Services at LaGuardia Community College, CUNY. Previously, he was a staff psychotherapist at the Karen Horney Clinic in the Child and Adolescent Program. He is the co-creator of the “Empowered Playground” an innovative tool for early childhood educators.As always, The Parents’ Phrase Book author and L.A.
