City Dads Group continues to expand its online presence with the creation of a Chicago Dads Group microsite, an addition that gives our 500 members in the Chicagoland area a one-stop Internet destination for information, resources and news of the outpost’s work.

Eric Bennion, seen here with his two boys, will serve as editor of the Chicago Dads Group’s microsite www.citydadsgroup.com/chicago.

The new site should also make it easier for fathers in the Chicagoland area who are not yet members to find the group and learn about all the activities and resources it offers them and their families. The site integrates the group Meetup.com scheduling system and will include a blog update by local members, with information on activities, programs and tales of their fatherhood experiences and observations.

“We hope to eventually create a blog and online home for each of our City Dads Groups across the country,” said Matt Schneider, one of the founders of City Dads Group. “The guys in Chicago have built an active and engaged community of dads, and we look forward to showing the world what fatherhood looks like from their perspective.”

The microsite at  www.citydadsgroup.com/chicago, will be overseen by Eric Bennion. Bennion, who will serve as site editor, writes the blog DiaryDad’s Dadventures and contributes frequently to The Good Men Project and Life of Dad. He lives with his wife and two boys in Chicago suburbs.

This is City Dads Group second full microsite, joining the NYC Dads Group microsite that debuted earlier this year.
