Several members of our Chicago Dads Group appeared today on CBS This Morning‘s piece Daddy Duty: More Men Choosing to Put Kids Ahead of Careers, which focused on the increase in stay-at-home fathers in the United States.
Nothing groundbreaking in the report (click the link above to watch it), which focused on a playdate at a suburban Chicago bowling alley. It hit on the usual stats (about 2 million stay-at-home dads in the country, double from 25 years ago; more than half of working fathers surveyed would like to stay home with kids if they could, etc.) but every piece that shows dads as capable caregivings is a victory for modern fathers everywhere.
Great job, guys, especially Chicago co-organizer Brian Dykes who was interviewed.
