Study Up on Best Summer Camp Options This Weekend

December 9, 2015 by Kevin McKeever

best summer camps

New York Family logoSummer camp? Winter hasn’t arrived on the calendar (or in the weather, for that matter), and you want us to think about summer camp?

Sure do. The best summer camps tend to fill up quickly so now is the time to do your homework to figure out what might be best for your boy and girl when registrations open up, usually shortly after the start of the new year.

To help you, our friends at New York Family Magazine will host its annual Camp Fairs this weekend so you can do your research your area summer day camps and sleepaway camps. These free events, the biggest of their kind in NYC, allow families to meet directors from local and regional camps in person. Kids ages 3 to teen are welcome to attend with their parents.

During your time at the Camp Fair, you will have the opportunity to learn about the camp programs and get to know the leadership teams at the best summer camps in the area.  Camp experts from the American Camp Association, NY and NJ are also available to assist you with any questions you may have.

Register for the New York Family Camp Fairs now for one of these two dates/locations:

  • Upper East Side: Saturday, Dec. 12, noon-3 p.m. – St Jean Baptiste High School, 167 E. 75th St. between Lexington and Third.
  • Upper West Side: Sunday, December 13, noon-3pm. – Congregation Rodeph Sholom, 7 W. 83rd St. between Central Park West and Columbus.
