Chicago Dads Group is a diverse community of fathers who take an active role in our children’s lives. We seek to create an online meetup group to bring fathers together in person. We'll meet several times per week, with our kids, at parks, playgrounds, museums, nature centers, and parent-and-me classes across the Chicago-land area, both city and suburbs. We'll also organize parenting workshops and dads-nights-out to give our members an opportunity to socialize, learn, and support each other as we navigate parenthood. There are not enough resources, social groups, or services for dads. This is a destination for active dads! A diverse group with dads of all stripes: Stay At Home Dads, Dads with flexible schedules, work from home dads, freelance dads, working dads, and involved fathers in and around the Chicago-land area to socialize and interact with other guys who enjoy spending quality time with their children.

Chicago Dads Group is part of the City Dads Group national organization, a dynamic and diverse community of fathers dedicated to being active in their children’s lives and, by example, redefining what it means to be a dad in the 21st century. We have groups centered around major metropolitan areas throughout the United States. Dengeos - Buffalo Grove, Buffalo Grove, IL
Come out and join some of your fellow Chicago Dads Group members for a fun DADS OUTING on Saturday April 5th for Lunch and Disc Golf.

Here's the plan... 12PM we are going to meetup at Dengeos, located at 195 W Dundee Ave, Buffalo Grove for lunch then around 1PM-115PM head over to the nearby Willow Stream Park Disc Golf Course, located at 600 Farrington Dr, Buffalo Grove to play a FREE round of 9-hole DISC GOLF (aka Frisbee Golf).

Note: 1st Tee is located behind the outdoor pool area just left of the playground, the parking lot goes all the way back to the playground and 1st tee, parking lot entrance located at 600 Farrington Dr, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089. (Do not park off Checker Road, since that will be a long walk to the Disc Golf Course, use the Farrington Drive park entrace on the North side).

If you never played Disc Golf before, you definetly need to try it out. If you don't have any Discs then you can buy a beginer set on Amazon and most sporting good stores for about $40 or just bring a few frisbees for you to use.

Willow Stream Park is a great place for the whole family, they have nearby playground, bathroom facilities, bike/walking trails, large fields, plus a fairly easy beginner DISC GOLF course where the wind is often biggest factor. Course goes around central woods, but only one tree obstacle. Large, beautiful, well-maintained park.

Triton College - Collins Center Gym, River Grove, IL
Join us for a fun family outing to the 52th annual Triton Troupers Circus that is held inside the Collins Gym @ Triton College in River Grove. This is our 5th year going as a group to this awesome one-ring circus performance and I know everyone can't wait to go again.

Friday night show starts at 7:00PM, but encourage everyone to come at least 45 minutes early for the pre-show and to grab some good seats on the bleachers (historically the place fills up at 630pm), look for us on EAST side of gym, dead center towards the top (farthest side from the lobby) with few guys possibly wearing our Chicago Dads Group shirts too! If you don't see us, that's ok just come and enjoy yourself at this great family event and maybe we can see you at intermission or afterwards.

COST: $10/person (cash only) buy tickets onsite at box office, ticket line can get long if dont come early thats why we suggest 45-60 minutes before show. Seating is general so come early to get your seats. Concessions are additional $1 popcorn, $1 cotton candy, bottled water, etc.

Don't forget to go to ATM before you arrive since they only accept CASH to buy tickers & concessions (no ATM onsite). I alsp give my kids $5 each spending money for concessions too which they love. My kids also love to buy a Triton Trouper Circus shirt for $15-20.

Triton Troupers Circus is an extraordinary show based out of Triton College near Chicago, performing annually since 1972!

All shows are handicap accessible, for all ages, and animal-free. The show is about two hours long including one intermission, drinks and snacks are sold. Show may include fog and strobes, as well as balloons and confetti. Doors open one hour before show time, so come early for best parking and tickets, and enjoy the clown pre-show.

Triton Troupers Circus is a non-profit effort dedicated to the preservation of the circus arts and to the local community. Triton Troupers Circus features skilled performers in classic circus specialties such as Chairs, Clowning, Double Stunts, Globes, Gymwheel, Juggling, Statues, Teeterboard, Trampoline, Trapeze, Unicycle, Web, Wire, feats of strength and more.

Bring the family for a morning at the new indoor slide park! Children must be at least 4 years old to go down the slides, but there is a soft play area just for 0-3 year olds as well. They've got 8 different slides to go down and the pass is good for 2 hours unlimited. To learn more, visit their website.

Free passes are 1st come 1st serve - you must confirm your attendance by end of day Wednesday, April 9th by texting me at 224-345-0609, or I will give the tickets to the next person on the RSVP list. I will update the event description when the free passes are all taken - after that all passes will be discounted (I believe $15 or less). Please don't RSVP if you are not sure you can attend.
