City Dads Group is pleased to announce it will be part of Huggies Parents Council meeting, scheduled for next week in Chicago. City Dads Group has maintained a good working relationship with the diaper and baby-product maker for several years after we joined a chorus of dad bloggers urging Huggies to reconsider their portrayal of dads in a TV and print campaign. Check out this new video featuring moments that men are finding out that they are going to be dads:According to the press release for the campaign, Dove Men+Care has conducted global research on men, and found that 82% of men believe having a child changes the way they think about what it means to be a man. Ninth graders at Capital High School in Santa Fe, New Mexico, had the opportunity to participate in a groundbreaking poetry program sponsored by Reel Fathers, an organization that engages with the community to build stronger relationships through a dynamic use of film, story and creative expression.
Poet mentors worked with students to write and perform poems that explore the lightness, darkness, absence, and presence of fathers and father figures.
